High School Bowling Club Program

The Greater Gardner High School Bowling Club completed it's second season in March, 2010 with Narragansett Regional High School winning the Conference Championship. Four local high schools participated this season : Narragansett, Oakmont, Monty Tech and Gardner. Our second season saw a significant growth with more students taking the challenge. Among the many highlights was a perfect 300 game rolled by Narragansett Senior Chris Colella. Four local students averaged over 200 for the season including Narragansett team members Chris Colella (225), Nick Everhart (221) and Justin Hart (203) and Oakmont lefty Corey Umbrello (203). These bowlers have shown exceptional promise.

The Narragansett Regional High School team represented our conference at the first annual High School State Bowling Tournament on March 7th, 2010 in Auburn. The Narragansett team finished in Third place, narrowly missing the Championship by only a few pins. Two Narragansett students, Justin Hart and Chris Colella received further distinction by being named to the All-Tournament team.

Gardner Ten Pins would like to thank the various sponsors and the schools for their support in helping this program continue to grow. Special thanks to the Greater Gardner USBCA for their continued support of this program. Sponsors include Roy Bros. Oil, Barbara and Ken Conti, The Gardner Knights of Columbus, Gardner VFW, The Ashburnham American Legion, Cleghorn Oil, Chair City Oil, Theresa Gautreau and Buddie's Pro Shop. The program's success could not have been achieved without the dedication and efforts of the team coaches, The program directors and board members, and the students partents.
